Anticipated Free Homecoming Program, Students are Enthusiastic about Participating in Fun Homecoming with BUMN 2024 Facilitated by PT Timah

PANGKALPINANG -- Student enthusiasm for taking part in the 'Homecoming Homecoming with BUMN 2024' facilitated by PT Timah is quite high. Every year the homecoming program from members of the MIND ID mining industry holding company is always eagerly awaited by students.

The 2024 Fun Homecoming Program with BUMN is intended for students and the general public. PT Timah Tbk is collaborating with the Bangka Student Association (ISBA), the Belitong Family Student Association (IKPB), and KPMKR (Riau Islands Student Family) in organizing a Fun Homecoming with BUMN 2024.

As is known, in 2024 PT Timah will provide a free homecoming quota for 700 participants with a quota of Bangka (Pangkalpinang, Muntok, Toboali, Belinyu) with a quota of 375 people, Belitung (Belitung and East Belitung) with a quota of 235 people and Riau Islands (Tanjung Balai Karimun) with a quota of 50 people.

PT Timah has often held free homecoming trips to help people who want to return to their hometowns to welcome Eid al-Fitr. It is not surprising that this program is eagerly awaited by the public.

As stated by the Chairman of the Yogyakarta Branch of the Belitong Student Family Association, Firmansa said that since the start of the last fast, many students had asked him about PT Timah's homecoming program.

"Enthusiasm is quite high, our quota has been met. Even before fasting, many people have asked whether there is a free homecoming from PT Timah because this is always eagerly awaited," he said, on Thursday (28/3/2024).

According to Firmansah, this free homecoming program is very helpful for overseas students because, with the current soaring ticket prices from Yogyakarta to Belitung, the costs are not cheap.

"For Yogyakarta, it covers several areas such as Malang, Semarang and Solo. We hope that next year, the quota can increase because enthusiasm is quite high," he said.

According to him, they will depart from Yogyakarta on April 3 for Tanjung Priok Harbor and then continue their journey to Belitung Island.

"Last year IKPB Yogyakarta was also involved in free homecoming from PT Timah. Because this program is very helpful for overseas students," said this student at Yogyakarta State University.

The chairman of ISBA Palembang, Leo, said that the homecoming program was very enthusiastically welcomed by students.

"It really helps with this free homecoming even though the quota is limited and this free homecoming is highly anticipated. Our quota has been fulfilled," he said.

He hopes that this homecoming program can continue every year so that it can help students who are overseas.

"Hopefully this program can be run every year, thank you also to PT Timah for holding the free homecoming, good luck always," he said. (*)
