WEST BANGKA -- The Muntok Indonesian Tin Museum is not only one of the educational tours in West Bangka Regency but also often becomes a means of creativity for young people.
Various activities were held in the Muntok MTI area, such as a photography exhibition, a theater performance venue, and a place for dancing practice.
Chairman of the West Bangka Bujang Dayang Association, Agung Purnama, said the Muntok Indonesian Tin Museum supports the creativity of millennials.
"The West Bangka Arts Council collaborated with the West Bangka Bujang Dayang Association and several other communities to hold the Muntok Art Festival which was held in the Tin Museum courtyard with historical photo activities and various competitions," he said.
Apart from that, he said Bujang Dayang West Bangka also carried out the Ramadhan Safari by sharing with the community or orphans which was also held at MTI Muntok.
"At that time we also held a Muslim fashion show competition at the Museum," he said.
Many students or the younger generation make MTI a place to gather, and practice dance, drama, and more.
Located in the heart of Muntok, and having a building with good facilities and a large yard, it's no wonder that the Museum is the choice of millennials to carry out various positive activities, be it seminars, art training, fashion shows, auditions, and meeting places.
"Here it can be used as a place for meetings or reunions, to hold fundraising in front of the museum. So the Timah Muntok museum is a strategic place that is often used by young people to carry out youth activities," said one Chantika visitor.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Muntok Indonesian Tin Museum, Fakhrizal said the Museum is committed to supporting the creativity of millennials to carry out positive educational and artistic activities.
"For the younger generation who want to carry out activities at MTI Muntok, it is enough to send a permit application letter, addressed to the head of MTI Muntok, and later it will be forwarded to the central management. So that later all activities at MTI can be monitored and known by the Museum team center," he said.
