PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah Tbk is committed to implementing the Environmental Social Responsibility (TJSL) program or what is known as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to support regional development and provide an economic impact on society.
The Central Bangka Regency Government appreciates PT Timah Tbk as a CSR partner that has supported development in Central Bangka. For this reason, the Central Bangka Regency Government gave two awards to PT Timah Tbk.
This MIND ID mining industry holding member won an award as a CSR Partner for the Submission of Sustainability Reports for the 2020–2022 Period and a CSR Partner for the Alignment Category of the Central Bangka Regency Development Program for 2022.
These two awards were handed over by the Regent of Central Bangka Algafry Rahman to the CSR Team of PT Timah Tbk in a Coordination Meeting with CSR Partners at the Soll Marina Hotel, Pangkalanbaru District, Tuesday (20/06/2023).
Central Bangka Regent Algafry Rahman said the Central Bangka Regency Government has four excellent programs that are expected to be aligned with CSR partners in Central Bangka. Among them are stunting reduction programs, the people's economy, and the tourism sector.
"Alhamdulillah, we are well aware that the existence of these company friends really supports the local government in providing facilities, infrastructure, together to build and make Central Bangka even better," said Algafry Rahman as Regent of Central Bangka.
In the future, he hopes that company partners can continue to be active and collaborate with the Regency Government in implementing CSR programs for the benefit of the community.
"Let's use the strength of this CSR to build an increasingly superior Central Bangka, and as fellow CSR partners continue to be enthusiastic about providing benefits to the community," he said.
In carrying out the CSR program of PT Timah Tbk
In carrying out the CSR program, PT Timah Tbk seeks to encourage and increase the economic independence of the community around the mining area.
PT Timah Tbk is also committed to implementing the MIND ID Group's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in responding to challenges and sustainable business processes.
PT Timah Tbk's CSR program is also aligned with SDGs values so that it can provide benefits and values ??to support community independence.
Throughout 2022, PT Timah Tbk distributed CSR funds of IDR 33 billion which were carried out in several programs such as fishing grounds, coral gardens, capacity building for indigenous peoples, social security for vulnerable and disabled groups, and others. (*)
