PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah provides opportunities for the best sons and daughters in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and Riau Islands Province who want to study Vocational Diploma 1 (D1) at the Bukit Asam Mining Community Academy (AKIPBA) for the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
In 2024, PT Timah will provide educational scholarships at AKIPBA for the five best students who have registered. AKIPBA scholarship registration starts on June 10-24 2024.
Students can register via the page akipba.ac.id/pmb-akipba/. Applicants will later receive a full scholarship while undergoing the education process.
Educational scholarships at AKIPBA, it is an effort by members of the MIND ID mining industry holding company to provide human resources who have the competence to meet the needs of the mining industry.
Participants who have registered will later take a series of tests starting from registration, data input and upload, academic and scholastic tests, psychological tests, interviews, visitations, and health tests.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah Anggi Siahaan said that receiving the AKIPBA scholarship was an opportunity for students who wanted to gain knowledge in the mining sector.
"Education is one of the company's concerns in improving the quality of human resources around the mine. There are various scholarship programs carried out by PT Timah, one of which is AKIPBA," he said.
There are three study programs (Diploma 1) at AKIPBA, namely Mining Equipment Operation Techniques (TPOT), Mining Equipment Maintenance Techniques (T-PAT), and Mineral and Coal Mining Product Processing Techniques (T-PHT).
AKIPBA was founded by PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), PT Inalum (Persero), PT Timah Tbk (TINS), and PT Antam Tbk (ANTM) which are members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding. (*)
