KARIMUN -- Welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance to improve facilities and infrastructure at the Muhajirin Pelambung Mosque, Pongkar Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency.
The assistance from PT Timah Tbk was received directly by the Chairman of the Muhajirin Mosque, Suhaidi on Sunday (19/3/2023).
Suhaidi said the assistance from PT Timah Tbk would be used to add mosque facilities and infrastructure such as carpets and others. So that the congregation is more comfortable when worshiping, especially in the month of Ramadan.
"According to the agreement of all the administrators of the Muhajirin Mosque, we will use this assistance to buy carpets or prayer rugs," he said.
According to Suhaidi, currently, the condition of the carpets and prayer rugs in the Muhajirin Mosque are damaged and unfit for use.
"Many of the carpets were damaged or unusable, but due to the insufficient condition of the mosque's treasury, we postponed the procurement of carpets or prayer rugs," he said.
For this reason, his party appreciates PT Timah Tbk, which has assisted to buy new carpets and containers.
"Thank you to PT Timah for the assistance given to our mosque. Moreover, there are more and more worshipers this Ramadan," he said. (*)
