KARIMUN — Welcoming Idul Fitri 1444 Hijriah, PT Timah Tbk handed 3,000 food packages to people in need in Bangka Karimun and Meranti Regencies.
The activity entitled 'Timah provides Groceries' is a form of PT Timah's concern for the community in order to help the community to meet their food needs.
This assistance was symbolically handed over to the Village Government who received the basic food packages on Wednesday 12 April 2023. Thousands of these basic food packages were distributed to low-income people, the elderly, orphans and orphans, and the poor.
One of the recipients of the basic food packages, a resident of Gemuruh Village, West Kundur District, Rubiatun said he was happy to receive the basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk, the assistance will be used to meet their daily needs.
"Alhamdulillah, this assistance will be used to meet daily needs ahead of this Eid al-Fitr," he said.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk not only provides assistance ahead of Eid, but members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding also often help the community in various aspects.
"I hope that PT Timah Tbk will continue to act like this and help the community," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Kundur Village, West Kundur District, Marhalim expressed his pleasure and gratitude for the assistance of basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk to their residents.
"On behalf of the people of Kundur Village, I would like to thank PT Timah for the food package assistance. Of course, this is very helpful for the residents, especially in Ramadan and Eid will soon be coming," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Kundur sub-district Khaidir said the distribution of these basic food packages was very appropriate and beneficial for the community, especially ahead of this Eid.
"We say thousands of thanks to PT Timah Tbk for always helping the community. PT Timah continues to show concern for residents in its working area, especially in Kundur Barat District," he said.
