WEST BANGKA -- PT Timah handed over aid to two houses of worship in West Bangka district. This assistance was given to the Al Muhajirin Musala and the An Nur Mentok Mosque.
Assistance was handed over by PT Timah's Director of Finance and Risk Management during the Ramadan Safari at the Mentok Metallurgical Unit Guest House, Monday (1/4/2024).
Chairman of the Al Muhajirin Musala, Wira Sastrawan, said that the Al Muhajirin prayer room had been standing for decades and there were several buildings that were damaged and had to be replaced.
"The Al Muhajirin Prayer Room has been standing for decades, there are already several parts of the building that are damaged and need to be repaired, PT Timah's assistance will be used to repair the damaged parts of the building," he said.
According to him, previously the Musala had also received assistance from slaughtering cows and trellises, and hoped that PT Timah would continue to help their Musola.
"Previously, PT Timah also helped with the cattle slaughtering area and several trellises for the Musala. We, representing the congregation, would like to express our gratitude to PT Timah. We hope that PT Timah's concern for the Al Muhajirin Musala will continue," he hoped.
Likewise, the administrator of the An Nur Mentok mosque, Agus Prawira, said that they are currently renovating the mosque because this mosque has been standing for 30 years.
"PT Timah's assistance will be used to purchase additional materials because we are currently renovating the mosque," he said.
"We would like to thank PT Timah, we hope that PT Timah will continue to be prosperous and successful, with the hope that assistance to the An Nur mosque can be helped again, and also other mosques," he hoped. (*)
