SOUTH BANGKA - Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijriah, PT Timah Tbk handed over 1296 basic food packages to the people of South Bangka Regency. Thousands of food packages were handed over to the Regional Secretary of Bangka Bangka Selatan Eddy Supriadi, Monday (17/4/2023).
The food package assistance from members of the MIND ID mining industry holding will later be distributed to the people of South Bangka who need it, such as low-income people, the elderly, the poor, orphans, and orphans.
Regional Secretary of South Bangka Regency, Eddy Supriadi said, the basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk really helped their residents, especially ahead of Eid.
"There were 1,296 basic food packages from PT Timah Tbk which today were symbolically handed over to village heads in South Bangka to be distributed to underprivileged residents in their respective villages," he said.
According to him, this food package assistance is also PT Timah Tbk's effort in assisting the Regional Government in realizing food security in South Bangka.
"The regional government does not see the size of the assistance provided to residents, but the most important thing is that there have been efforts to synergize with the regional government in realizing community food security ahead of Eid," he said.
He hopes that PT Timah Tbk will continue to pay attention to the community through various momentums, especially to residents in the company's operational areas.
"We hope that other companies will also take part and until now there have also been several other companies that have distributed assistance to our community," he hoped.
Meanwhile, the Head of Bikang Village, Zulfani said the assistance was quite helpful for the residents.
"We are very grateful to PT Timah Tbk for caring about our residents and so far the relationship between PT Timah and residents has been well established," he said.
In the same vein, the Head of Serdang Apendi Village hopes that the rocks can be distributed regularly to residents.
"Hopefully in the future, PT Timah Tbk can continue to synergize with Pemdes in helping residents," he hoped. (*)
