PANGKALPINANG -- Ahead of Eid al-Adha 2023, PT Timah Tbk will distribute as many as 200 sacrificial animals to the company's operational areas in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and Riau Islands Province.
The distribution of sacrificial animals is a routine program carried out by members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding. PT Timah Tbk annually distributes sacrificial animals to remote areas.
"The distribution of sacrificial animals is a routine program carried out by PT Timah Tbk to share with the community at the Eid al-Adha momentum," said the Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan.
Hundreds of these sacrificial animals will be distributed to villages or mosques and stakeholders in the company's operational areas on H-3 ahead of Eid.
Sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk will be supplied by PT Timah Tbk's subsidiary, PT Timah Agro Manunggal (TAM), and local breeders in each region.
"PT Timah Tbk also empowers local breeders so that apart from PT TAM, PT Timah Tbk also buys cattle from local breeders which will later be distributed to recipient communities," added Anggi.
Anggi hopes that the assistance of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk to the community, it can provide direct benefits to the community, especially at the moment of Eid al-Adha.
"Hopefully later the people who receive it can be happy and feel the benefits of PT Timah Tbk's CSR program which continues to strive to contribute to society," said Anggi.
