Ahead of Eid al-Adha, PT Timah Tbk Distributes Ten Sacrificial Animals to Communities in West Kundur

WEST KUNDUR -- Ahead of Eid al-Adha 1444 H, PT Timah Tbk began distributing sacrificial animal assistance to communities in operational areas on Monday (26/6/2023).

In 2023, PT Timah Tbk will distribute as many as 200 sacrificial animals which will be handed over to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province and the Riau Islands Province.

The distribution of the sacrificial animals is being carried out in stages, in West Kundur District, for example, members of the MIND ID Mining Industry Holding have distributed ten cows.

Among these sacrificial animals were distributed to Darun Na'im Darat Surau Mata Air, Sawang Village, which were accepted by the Surau Age Sa'ad management. He said, with the help of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk, the people around Surau Darun Na'im could participate in celebrating the Feast of Sacrifice.

"In Surau Darun Na'im no one sacrificed, so we are very happy with the assistance of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk. So the community can feel it, I represent from Rt. 003 and also the Management of Surau Darun Na'im thank PT Timah Tbk," he said.

In the same vein, the Head of Sawang Laut Village, Jefrizal, himself representing the people of Sawang Laut Village, appreciated the assistance of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk which would be slaughtered and distributed to the community during Eid al-Adha later.

"PT Timah Tbk consistently provides sacrificial animal assistance to the community every year and is never absent. This is very helpful for the community in celebrating the day of sacrifice," he said.

He considered that the distribution of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk was relatively even because the recipient community also takes turns every year.

"Hopefully with that, all the people in Sawang Laut Village can feel the company's contribution to society," he said.

Similar to the Head of West Kundur Sub-District, Khaidir said that the handover of sacrificial animals from PT Timah Tbk was carried out on an ongoing basis and this was a form of concern for the community.

"Every year PT Timah continues to consistently provide sacrificial animal assistance to the community so that the community can participate in celebrating the Sacrifice Day. Hopefully, PT Timah can continue to develop in the future in West Kundur, so that its contribution to society can continue," he said.
