WEST BANGKA -- To encourage and support the existence of the Local Indie Band and the Hadra Art Group, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance to this music group after performing in celebration of the 288th anniversary of Muntok City at the Muntok Gelora Field, Wednesday (7/9/2022).
A total of six local indie bands and two Hadra groups received assistance from PT Timah Tbk. These musical groups appeared to entertain the people of Muntok City.
This assistance was handed over by the Head of Facilities and Infrastructure of Unmet Deka Zulfan to all local bands and art groups Hadra Bangka Barat.
Vocalist If Syafie Band said they participated in celebrating the anniversary of Muntok City, he was proud that the West Bangka Regional Government and PT Timah cared about the West Bangka Indie Band.
"Thank you to the committee for inviting me to perform at the Muntok City Anniversary.
Appreciation to the West Bangka Regional Government who has supported, and to PT Timah who has provided assistance to Jika Band," said Syafie.
"We also hope that performing arts activities can continue to be improved, not only at certain moments, but also create a venue or musical performances, so that the works of musicians in West Bangka can be recognized," he hoped.
Likewise, Aziz, a member of Doekoen Band, hopes that PT Timah's concern for Indie Bands will continue.
"Hopefully PT Timah continues to care about musicians in West Bangka, and also the sponsors can help the development of Indie Bands so that they are better known both locally and nationally," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Department of Tourism and Culture Muhammad Ali said PT Timah's contribution to supporting the Muntok City Anniversary celebration was extraordinary.
"PT Timah Tbk is our amazing partner in supporting West Bangka tourism and culture. Always involved and supporting every activity. Especially in Muntok City Anniversary, we thank you for your help and participation," said Muhamad Ali.
