After Becoming a Foster Partner of PT Timah Tbk, Desi Doesn't Contract Sales Anymore

BANGKA BARAT – Jupriansah (36) and Desi Marni (35) have finally been able to fulfill their dream of owning a permanent shop and are no longer contracting. Their place of business is now bigger and neater after they received the Medium and Small Business Funding Program (PUMK) from PT Timah Tbk.

Desi Marni recounted that for about five years they had contracted a place of business to sell basic necessities and vegetables in Hamlet VII, Belo Laut Village, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency.

They have been planning to build a shop on their own land for a long time to expand their business. However, they still think about the costs and turnover of business capital. "After telling the customer, I received information that PT Timah Tbk has a capital program for MSMEs. I applied for a business loan and Alhamdulillah, I got a loan in 2021," said Desi.

It didn't take long, after the disbursement of capital funds from PT Timah Tbk, they immediately built a shop not far from the old one.

"We built a store that was a bit bigger than when we rented it, because it used to be cramped, the goods were not neatly arranged, besides that it was also to expand our business and provide convenience to buyers when shopping," she explained.

For Desi, the funding program from PT Timah Tbk has developed their business. Where now their business continues to progress and customers are more comfortable to shop.

In addition to selling basic necessities and vegetables, the husband and wife are also pursuing a bongsai business and the plan is to develop this business from a loan from PT Timah Tbk. "We also want to expand our business in other fields, such as clothing and others, because this program for MSMEs from PT Timah Tbk is very helpful and the process is easy," she said. (**)
