SOUTH BANGKA – South Bangka Regent Riza Herdavid admitted that he was touched again to receive donations of sacrificial cattle from PT Timah Tbk on Eid al-Adha in 2022. He was touched because every year PT Timah Tbk always donated sacrificial animals for the people of South Bangka.
PT Timah Tbk this year handed over 32 sacrificial cows ahead of Eid al-Adha 1443 Hijriah to the community in South Bangka Regency. This donation of sacrificial cows was symbolically received by the Regent of South Bangka, Riza Herdavid on Friday (8/7/2022).
He said that later these sacrificial animals would be distributed to the community through villages and mosques.
"We are very proud, appreciative and touched by PT Timha Tbk's policy regarding the importance of sharing with the people of South Bangka," he said after receiving the donation of sacrificial cows symbolically.
"I hope that what PT Timah Tbk has done in South Bangka can also be followed by other companies so that there is more sharing," he continued.
According to him, the donation of sacrificial animals is a form of the company's commitment to share directly with the community on Eid day.
“The commitment of PT Timah Tbk is extraordinary. We are very proud because once again the community will immediately receive compensation from PT Timah Tbk on the holiday," he said.
He said that this is not the first time PT Timah Tbk has synergized with the South Bangka Regency Government in helping the community. Instead, many of PT Timah Tbk's CSR programs have been felt by the community.
"It's not just the sacrificial cows, but a lot of help from CSR from PT Timah Tbk and others. It is extraordinary that PT Timah Tbk never changes its style of sharing with the community, hopefully the company will continue to be blessed," he explained.
According to him, PT Timah Tbk's CSR program is also in line with the South Bangka Government's policy in helping the community.
"We really appreciate the concept of sharing and caring for PT Timah Tbk, the Regency Government is ready to support PT Timah Tbk and this is very much in line with the Regency Government to share with the people of South Bangka," he said.
