PT TIMAH Tbk’s support for houses of worship aims to maintain social harmony in the company’s operational regions, such as the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, and the Riau Islands Province. The company’s presence within these communities focuses not only on economic aspects but also on the social and cultural dimensions related to religious life.
One of the houses of worship receiving assistance from PT TIMAH Tbk is the Al Muhajirin Nelayan 1 Mosque in Sungailiat, Bangka Regency. The mosque’s treasurer, Muzlih, shared the condition of the mosque after it was impacted by a tornado.
“Not long ago, a tornado caused the terrace roof of the mosque to be damaged and destroyed. We are grateful for the assistance provided by PT TIMAH Tbk to our mosque because our financial situation is also not strong. We are very thankful for the help,” he said, as quoted in earlier reports.
PT TIMAH Tbk also provided assistance to As-Somad Mosque in Teluk Uma Village, Tebing District, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province. The support will be used to renovate the mosque’s ablution area, which is expected to improve comfort and enhance the quality of worship facilities, especially in ensuring cleanliness and proper ablution amenities for congregants.

Furthermore, PT TIMAH Tbk provided assistance to the Committee of the Inter-Church Cooperation Agency (BKAG) of Kundur Island to support the 2024 Christmas celebration.
“For the past three years, PT TIMAH has consistently contributed, especially toward the Ecumenical Christmas celebration organized by BKAG. This greatly supports the joyful and peaceful observance of Christmas,” said BKAG Kundur Chairman, Pastor Jonah Becksenly Salko.
PT TIMAH Tbk also delivered assistance to two churches in West Bangka Regency: the Batak Protestant Christian Church (HKBP) and the West Indonesian Protestant Church (GPIB).
Pastor Vylian Sipahutar of HKBP expressed his gratitude for PT TIMAH’s support in celebrating Christmas and New Year, as well as for the improvement of church facilities and infrastructure.
