BANGKA -- As part of the Community Service Month held to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of PT TIMAH (Persero) Tbk, the company once again delivered meaningful benefits to the community. A total of 90 children participated in the mass circumcision program held in Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, on Monday (July 27, 2026).
The mass circumcision program is one of PT TIMAH's annual initiatives to celebrate the company's anniversary, which this year carries the theme "Tin for the People." Beyond serving as a social responsibility program, the initiative also reflects the company's commitment to improving public health in its operational areas.
The program was warmly welcomed by local residents, who viewed it as a direct and meaningful form of assistance. One of the parents, Asmara, expressed her gratitude, saying the program had provided significant support for families.
"We are very happy that this mass circumcision program is being held. We heard from our neighbors that this is an annual event, so we had been looking forward to it," Asmara said.
She also expressed her appreciation to PT TIMAH for supporting the community through the program. According to her, the initiative has helped ease the financial burden on families, especially during a time when economic conditions remain challenging.
Another parent, Wita, also thanked PT TIMAH for helping make her child's circumcision possible.
"Happy 50th Anniversary to PT TIMAH. Thank you for helping our child receive this circumcision service. Keep moving forward, PT TIMAH. We wish the company continued success and prosperity," she said.
