Through the Micro Small Business Funding program (PUMK) PT Timah Tbk encourages MSME players to be able to advance to class. Efforts have been made to market MSME products to the digital market, including through the SOE MSME Digital Market (PaDI), increasing product marketing through Tins Gallery and Sebalai Serumpun Gallery.
In addition, PT Timah Tbk also brings potential partners to market products at national-level exhibitions. It didn't stop there, PT Timah Tbk also provided coaching for the fostered partners to develop their businesses.
Head of Corporate Communications at PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, said that his party is targeting that by 2022 there will be 50 more fostered partners who can upgrade to class.
"Based on these indicators, there are 55 fostered partners who have been promoted, this can be seen from the increase in turnover, marketing, and also providing employment opportunities. and seeing this good thing, in 2022 PT Timah Tbk plans to target an increase in the number of up to 50 more fostered partners who can advance to class, let's support it together," he said.
One of the fostered partners of PT Timah Tbk, Sinar, a resident of Batu Limau Village, Ungar District, Karimun Regency, said that since becoming a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk, his sago-making business has grown. Where currently he can increase production by 5-6 tons per month, besides that his workforce has also increased to four people.
Sinar said that he could even expand his sago garden as the raw material used in making sago. Not only helping with financing, according to Sinar PT Timah Tbk, but it also helps promote its products.
“I started this business about 30 years ago, but after becoming a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk, my business slowly began to grow rapidly. PT Timah even helps my product to penetrate the international market, but this is being worked on,” he said.
For him, to run it must be supported by strong capital, not only that the marketing factor is also very important so that it can increase turnover which has an impact on increasing labor and income.
Similarly, Yayan Jeka, a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk in Belitung, has successfully developed his pastry business. He said that he even now owns two production houses and can rent a shophouse to market his products.
“On normal days I usually employ six people, but for big days like Eid, up to 12 people can work. In the past, I was the only one working in my business, now Alhamdulillah, after becoming a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk, it can grow rapidly," he said.
Not only that, Herawati, a foster partner of PT Timah Tbk in Bangka Island, has also tested the marketplace to market her key orange syrup product. Hera said that since the products were sold through PaDi UMKM, the turnover has also increased.
