BANGKA -- In celebration of PT Timah’s 49th anniversary, the company once again provided free health services to the public. The initiative was warmly welcomed by the community, who gathered at the Gedung Krida Field in Belinyu, Bangka Regency, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
Around 200 residents took advantage of the free health services offered as part of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Social Service program, themed "For the Red and White." Similar health services were previously carried out in other PT Timah operational areas, including Kundur, Belitung, Jakarta, and Sungailiat.
In collaboration with the local government in Belinyu District, this free health initiative aims to help improve the overall well-being of the community.
The services provided included general health check-ups, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and health consultations with medical professionals.
In addition to free medical treatment, the series of events held in Belinyu for PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary also included a mass circumcision and blood donation drive.
One resident, Aina (72), expressed her gratitude for the service.
“This is a huge help. Normally, I would have to travel back and forth to Sungailiat up to three times. Alhamdulillah, today I can get treated nearby and for free,” said the resident of Kelurahan Damai.
Soleha (65), a resident of Kampung Bukit Kuyang in Kelurahan Bukit Ketok, shared a similar sentiment. She even brought her grandson to participate in the mass circumcision.
“The free health care from PT Timah is really helpful, especially since I have a medical condition. I also brought my grandson for the circumcision event. I wish PT Timah continued success,” said Soleha.
PT Timah Tbk's Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Budiman Siahaan, emphasized that this initiative is part of the company’s commitment to supporting public health.
“On the occasion of the company's 49th anniversary, PT Timah is organizing various social programs across its operational areas, including here in Belinyu. Through these activities, we hope that the presence of PT Timah truly brings value to the community,” said Anggi.
Through this initiative, PT Timah Tbk hopes to continue strengthening its relationship with the community and make a real contribution to improving the health and welfare of residents in the company’s operational areas.
