SOUTH BANGKA -- As part of the 49th Anniversary Month of Service, PT Timah Tbk once again provided free healthcare services to the community through its Mobile Health Clinic. The service was warmly welcomed by local residents who gathered at the Wasprod Office Courtyard in Toboali, South Bangka Regency, on Friday morning, August 1, 2025.
A total of 145 residents took advantage of the healthcare services offered by the Mobile Health Clinic, which was held under the 49th anniversary theme, “Untuk Merah Putih” (For the Red and White).
This free medical service had also previously been carried out in other PT Timah operational areas such as Kundur, Belitung, Jakarta, Sungailiat, and Belinyu.
In collaboration with the South Bangka Regency Government, the free healthcare services aimed to help improve the quality of public health.
The services provided included general health check-ups, blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, uric acid and cholesterol screening, as well as health consultations with medical professionals.
In addition to free healthcare, the 49th Anniversary Month of Service activities in Toboali also included mass circumcision, blood donation drives, the Mobile Health Clinic, and community clean-up events.
Suriyati, a 67-year-old resident of Padang Village in Toboali District, expressed her gratitude for the Mobile Health Clinic, noting that it helped her save money and eliminated the need to travel far to a hospital.
“I’m very grateful for this health check-up because it reduces the cost of having to go to Pangkalpinang for treatment, especially since it’s a long journey. This is my second time receiving care from the Mobile Health Clinic. I’m thankful for this program, it really helps us,” she said.
She also prayed for continued good health for PT Timah and its management so that the company can keep running free healthcare programs like this.
“Having these check-ups here really helps those of us who don’t have much money, so we’re excited to come and get treatment. Thank you, PT Timah. I hope the company remains strong and successful,” she added.
Meanwhile, West Bangka District Attorney’s Office, represented by the Head of Civil and State Administration Division (Kasidatun), Alfriwan Putra, expressed appreciation for PT Timah’s consistent involvement of local governments in its initiatives.
“Thank you to PT Timah for always involving the district attorney’s office and the community in every social activity in South Bangka. We hope that PT Timah’s goal of providing healthcare services to the public continues to be realized and that the community truly feels the presence of the Mobile Health Clinic,” he said.
He also emphasized the strong collaboration between PT Timah and the District Attorney’s Office, noting that the office frequently provides legal assistance and support.
