MERANTI -- Mass Circumcision Held in Celebration of PT Timah’s 49th Anniversary Receives Warm Response from Rangsang Community
A mass circumcision event held as part of PT Timah Tbk’s 49th Anniversary “Bulan Bakti” (Month of Service) was met with enthusiasm by the community in Rangsang District. A total of 42 children participated in the event, which took place at Gedung Nusantara, Tanjung Samak Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands, Riau Province, on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
This annual initiative has become a hallmark of PT Timah’s anniversary celebrations. For its 49th anniversary, the company carries the theme “For the Red and White.”
As in previous years, the mass circumcision program is highly anticipated by local residents, as emphasized by Acting Rangsang Subdistrict Head, Budi Cahyadi.
“To be honest, not long ago, some of our residents asked whether the mass circumcision would be held again. This shows how much the community looks forward to PT Timah’s activities,” Budi said.
He expressed appreciation for PT Timah’s continuous contributions to the community. This initiative, especially in today’s economic climate, helps ease the financial burden on parents wishing to circumcise their sons.
“Alhamdulillah, we are truly grateful to PT Timah for caring and contributing to our community. In these difficult economic times, this activity really helps our people,” he added.
He also hopes similar initiatives will continue in the future to benefit more residents. “May PT Timah continue to thrive and keep contributing to our communities,” Budi said.
One of the beneficiaries, Gusnawati from Teluk Samak, expressed her gratitude for the event, which she said was a huge help to her family.
“We’re very happy and grateful. Last year we had planned to circumcise our son, but he wasn’t ready. Thankfully, we received the news about this event, and our son Azam agreed to join,” she shared.
She hopes the program continues so that more families can benefit from PT Timah’s support.
PT Timah’s Department Head of Corporate Communication, Anggi Siahaan, stated that the 49th Anniversary celebration kicked off in Rangsang District, Riau Province, and will continue across all company operational areas.
“Our anniversary activities include social action, sports, and wellness programs throughout PT Timah’s operational regions,” Anggi explained.
Through the Bulan Bakti initiative, PT Timah aims to strengthen its harmony with communities and reinforce its contributions to the public.
