PANGKALPINANG -- As PT Timah marks its 49th anniversary, the company held a solemn and heartfelt celebration to commemorate the milestone. Carrying the theme “Untuk Merah Putih” (For the Red and White), the series of events began with a ceremonial flag-raising at the PT Timah Tbk headquarters on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
The ceremony was conducted with reverence and attended by all employees along with representatives from PT Timah’s subsidiaries. Acting as the ceremony inspector, the President Director of PT Timah Tbk delivered a reflective message on the company’s long-standing journey in contributing to the nation, while reaffirming its commitment to sustainably managing the country’s tin resources.
Following the ceremony, the celebration continued with a modest yet meaningful thanksgiving gathering. All employees came together in a spirit of unity, enjoying the event which included a traditional tumpeng-cutting ceremony and joint prayer.
During this moment of gratitude, PT Timah also presented the Satya Bakti awards to dedicated employees and handed out prizes to winners of the sports competitions held as part of the company’s 49th anniversary celebration.
“This year, we embrace the theme ‘Untuk Merah Putih.’ It is not just a slogan, but a reflection of our nearly half-century-long commitment to managing the nation’s natural resources with responsibility, integrity, and dedication to Indonesia,” said Restu.
On this occasion, the President Director also called on all PT Timah personnel to unite in restoring the company’s glory and improving performance to maximize its contribution to the nation, the state, and society.
“Our 49th anniversary is not merely a celebration—it is a moment to reflect with gratitude, to reaffirm our commitment, and most importantly, to reignite our spirit to restore PT Timah’s greatness and continue the legacy of our predecessors,” he added.
This year’s theme, “Untuk Merah Putih,” represents PT Timah’s spirit of nationalism and social responsibility embedded in every step of the company’s operations. More than just a symbol, the theme was embodied through various social activities during the company’s Month of Service, including mass circumcisions, blood donations, free medical services, and community clean-up drives across PT Timah’s operational areas in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Riau Province, and Riau Islands Province.
Earlier, PT Timah also held a Wellness Week across its operational areas as a gesture of togetherness and harmony with communities around the mining areas. Various gifts and prizes were also distributed to celebrate the company’s 49th anniversary.
Through this anniversary commemoration, PT Timah reaffirms its commitment to strengthening synergy and collaboration with stakeholders, aiming to become a leading, responsible mining company that contributes to the nation, the state, and society.
The thanksgiving event also featured a video showcasing PT Timah’s journey over the years, along with artistic performances that added warmth to the celebration. The event was further enlivened by a performance from Danil of Indonesian Idol.
