Like this time, PT Timah Tbk handed over assistance to support the renovation of the Pangkal Lalang Anni'mah Mosque, Tanjungpandan, Belitung Regency.
Chairman of the Anni'mah Pangkal Lalang Mosque Management, Tanjungpandan, Hanafi said the assistance provided by PT Timah Tbk was used to renovate several damaged parts of the mosque. Such as painting, repairing leaky roofs and partly to make decker plates used for the congregation's parking lot.
"The parking lot already exists, but it's already starting to break down because it collapses because usually the load doesn't match the capacity," he said.
According to him, painting had to be done because some had peeled off with age. Moreover, the mosque has been established since 1977 ago.
"The mosque is 45 years old, so it's been a long time," he explained.
He explained that there were quite a number of congregations at the mosque, because the location of the mosque was indeed in the middle, close to schools and offices.
So they want to create a sense of comfort for the congregation when carrying out their obligations as Muslims.
"Usually it's busy at noon or asr, especially if there's an event at the GOR and the stadium, it's usually crowded with worshipers," he said.
He appreciated the assistance from PT Timah Tbk to help renovate their mosque. o
