BANGKA BARAT -- To support early childhood education programs, PT Timah Tbk helps facilitate children from PAUD Al Fitriyah, Prestasi Village, Muntok District, West Bangka Regency to learn about the benefits and dangers of fire and water, Wednesday (15/3/ 2023).
The students seemed enthusiastic about listening to the explanation from PT Timah Tbk's K3LH Team when explaining about water and fire and their uses and handling of fire.
The Principal of the Integrated PAUD Al Fitriyah Eti Kurniati said the activities carried out were a school program to educate students about the benefits and dangers of fire and water.
"Children are quite happy and enthusiastic because children naturally want concrete and real learning. It is more meaningful, according to children's needs, compared to activities in the classroom which are not real in nature," he explained.
Eti explained, with activities like this, apart from getting new insights, it is hoped that they can also be implemented in their later lives.
"We hope that PT Timah can continue to work together regarding early childhood learning, not only the fire department but other PT Timah programs that are beneficial for children," he hoped.
One of the parents of Risna (44) said that the children were very happy with this activity. The reason is, they feel a new experience.
"Activities like this are great for children, they are happy to give
experience for children on how to put out a fire, they can learn while playing, and be guided by PT Timah's K3LH officers. We parents support activities like this," said Risma.
Nizham (6), an Al Fitriyah Guided PAUD student, admits that he is happy to take part in the school program.
"Very happy, exciting, playing with water spray, and invited to go for a ride in a fire truck," he said. (*)
