KUNDUR -- To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Sawang Laut Village held a special competition on 17 August for the community. To make this activity a success, PT Timah Tbk participated by providing support.
Youth member Sawang Laut Abdul Syakur, appreciated PT Timah Tbk for supporting their activities to hold a people's party in commemoration of the 77th Indonesian Independence Day.
"Representing the Youth and the Committee for the Indonesian Independence Day in Sawang Laut Village, we would like to thank PT Timah for providing assistance to us for community activities to celebrate the 77th Indonesian Independence Day," he said.
He hopes, with the support of PT Timah Tbk, the people's party in Sawang Laut Village can run smoothly.
"We plan to carry out these activities on Sunday with various competitions for children and adults, such as tug of war, sack race and areca climbing," he said.
Similarly, the Chief Fisherman of Kundur Amad Village appreciated PT Timah for supporting their activities.
"Tonight we will hold a 60's song karaoke competition, in which this activity is still in an atmosphere of commemorating the 77th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Kundur Barat Sub-district, Khaidir, appreciated PT Timah for the assistance that had been given to its citizens.
