CENTRAL BANGKA – For the past six months, Abdullah Sani (39) has only been lying down after a work accident that he experienced as a construction worker.
For this reason, PT Timah Tbk swiftly helped Abdullah Sani's medical expenses. This assistance was handed over directly to his residence in Jelutung Village, RT 11, Namang District, Central Bangka Regency.
“I fell while repairing the roof. I was unconscious, after that I was immediately taken to a traditional massage place. In the evening, then I was taken to the hospital, and an X-ray was done," he said.
When he woke up, he said, the lower part of the waist was already experiencing stiffness and numbness. Because it was too late to be taken to the hospital, the treatment was not easy.
"The results of the X-ray were that my backbone was broken. The operation could not be carried out, because it was handled too late. Because, the doctor said, the action had to be carried out within 24 hours after the incident, and we have passed 24 hours," he said.
Nevertheless, he and his family did not give up on trying various types of treatment so that he could recover. With the support of his family that keeps him motivated to recover.
"We are still trying to do traditional treatment, and also medical treatment, in the form of therapy. If possible, we will conduct treatment outside Bangka. We will do anything for my recovery," said Abdullah.
