BELITUNG - To improve the skills of fostered partners, PT Timah Tbk held an eco-print training for fostered partners on Belitung Island at the Belitung Tanjung Pandan Production Unit Office, Wednesday (12/10/2022).
A total of 20 participants of PT Timah's MSME Partners participated in the eco-print training activity.
This eco-print training program is carried out on an ongoing basis to improve the skills of MSMEs.
PT Timah Tbk presented Nuning Sekarningrum as a resource person, the founder of Gallery 37 South Tangerang.
According to Nuning Sekarningrum, Ecoprint itself is known as a coloring technique and also gives motifs to fabrics using materials that come from nature. Such as leaves, flowers, stems, roots, and other plant parts that can produce color pigments.
Nuning added that eco-print is currently being discussed because the materials are environmentally friendly. Moreover, in Belitung, there are many materials that can be used to make eco-print products.
"Moreover, there is a simpor leaf here, it can be affixed to it, and it will become the hallmark of Belitung itself," said Nuning.
One of the MSME actors, Paikem Pujiastuti said the impact of this training was very good, in order to motivate them to work hard in the future.
"We can learn more in the future, we see the condition we take the time to continue this," said Paikem.
According to Paikem, this training really supports them to add insight and education about eco-print.
Similarly, the representative of Balo Makmur, Astuti, appreciated PT Timah Tbk for holding the training, because the eco print training was very good, especially since they have a group, of course, it will be useful in the future.
"Initially we processed fish, but it is not impossible in the future to switch to eco print, because there are not many businesses like this," he explained.
Astuti explained, based on the results of the training, it turns out that eco-print products do not require a large amount of capital, therefore he will try to negotiate with his group to try the eco-print.
"PT Timah Tbk is doing this for the first time and it is very good because this agenda will be sustainable," he said.
