PANGKALPINANG -- A total of 36 students who took part in the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship Class program at SMAN 1 Pemali successfully passed the Academic Potential Test selection, interview test, and psychological test.
The students who pass will take a medical test which will be held in each region starting from Wednesday-Friday (15-17/6/2022).
The students who passed were from Pangkalpinang City with as many as four participants, Bangka Regency with as many as five participants, West Bangka Regency with as many as eight participants, South Bangka Regency with as many as five participants, Central Bangka Regency with as many as three participants, Belitung Regency as many as 1 participant, East Belitung Regency, two participants, Karimun Regency as many as four participants and Meranti Regency as many as four participants.
To carry out medical tests, PT Timah Tbk collaborated with Medika Stannia Hospital for participants on Bangka Island, Bakti Timah Kundur Hospital for participants from Karimun and Kundur, and Main Hospital for Belitung Regency.
The medical test is the final series of selections for the PT Timah Tbk Scholarship class at SMAN 1 Pemali. If students are declared healthy, they will be accepted.
"Even if someone is declared unfit by a team of doctors, they will fail. As a replacement, we will take a recommendation from the UNPAD psychologist team again," said Head of Corporate Communications of PT Timah Tbk, Anggi Siahaan, Thursday (16/6/2022).
Anggi said that all selection processes were carried out transparently. Where PT Timah Tbk involves professionals in their respective fields to carry out this test.
This scholarship class program is a free educational scholarship program for outstanding students who come from economically disadvantaged families.
Since its establishment in 2000, the PT Timah Tbk scholarship class program has produced hundreds of alumni who have had successful careers in various fields.
